Freebie :: Photoshop Shapes // Background/Patterns

Hello friends. Happy Sunday!

I think this weekend I have worked more on the shop then I ever have since it opened. Kinda strange when I have a 2.5 month old in tow {she was my little copilot ;) }.

First I wanna share what new items are listed in the shop-

Three more Nursery prints were added {8x10}. All three are completely customizable.

Just in time for the Holiday season, two instant downloads are available for 5x7 Christmas cards.

Lastly, Gift Tags! Instant download as with the Christmas Cards and the first set of Gift Tags {Simple Silhouettes} are customizable with different color options available!

Now on to the fun stuff.

I have a couple of freebies to give away. Some backgrounds/Patterns and a set of Photoshop Shapes!

These backgrounds/patterns measure 12x12 inches and can be used with just about anything.

1. Download Blue Triangles

2. Download Purple Triangles

3. Download Vintage Triangles

Get in the Kitchen!! .... That's what the husband always tells me ha!.

Kidding!!

These are my original designs. Hand drawn and then I turned them into shapes in PS.

1. Download Kitchen Set Shapes

If you have any problems downloading any of the freebies just let me know I can send the file directly to your email.

Happy Creating :)

Note: All graphics/freebies posted are created by me and not for resale.

Shop Grand-Re-opening and Freebie Prints!

Guess whose back!?

I am. Ta-da!

I never really went anywhere but I sure did take a huge break from the shop. I had a good excuse though. Pregnancy, new baby.. you know how it is. Everything to do with the shop and the blog took a back seat and I don't regret one bit of it either.

But the time has come to get back into the swing of things. Even though I still have a very -loves her Mama more then anyone- 2 month old, I felt like I needed to open the shop back up and start things back up with the blog.

I did create some prints while I was pregnant. Their by far my favorite and I was inspired by my little Peanut to create them {and they proudly hang in her Nursery as we speak}. They are completely finished and now listed in the shop.

I also tried my hand at some web graphics. Mainly Etsy Banner sets. I love creating graphics and have always wanted to create some for the shop but never got around to it. Now that I only have one arm available 99.8% of the time ;), it's easier for me to work on the Etsy Banner sets then it is to sketch out some designs {although my sketch books are in need of some major TLC!}.

I think the biggest thing for me is working on promoting. I have a Twitter but that too has taken a back seat these past couple months. I know there are some good sources out there for promoting your business/blog but since I am a Mom first, I will just have to give it a go on my own and take it from there.

So with the 'Grand RE-opening' of the shop I decided to give away two free Autumn prints. I created these a couple years ago and have had them saved in my files for awhile now. One is digital and the other is ink-drawn and then digitally colored in.

Download the Autumn 8x10 print here
Download the Give Thanks Pumpkin 8x10 print here

You might have also noticed a new blog design {c/o myself}. I decided since I was starting everything else up, mine as well start with a new blog set up.

New baby, new beginnings, new shop items, new blog... new everything :)

What up Friday!

Hey, yo, it's finally Friday. I say finally like Ive been waiting for it since Monday when it fact I have not. I've been off all week and it has been nothing short of glorious and now that Friday is here, it's just reminding me how it's the end of the week. The end of a nice long week away from the deep, dark abominable abyss that is work. Luckily for me {and Josh} we have Monday off so it will be a nice long 3 day weekend. Yay!

So in case you haven't noticed, the shop is currently on vacation right now.

Yep. Sad but true.

As it says in my vacation announcement, my computer that I had alllll of my original drawings/scans/work decided to just totally crap out on me. Luckily for me I have a man that is a nerd when it comes to computers and whose daily job revolves around computers, technology and fixing said things for people.

He built me a new computer {which im using right now} and luckily he will be able to retrive all of my files from the other computer. The hard drive was fine, he told me what happened with it but all that computer technical talk just really makes my brain feel all mushy and I can never remember later on, what he said exactly {is that bad?}.

So for the time being I have been creating some new prints and im also working on some other projects I have in the 'works' for the shop.

Other then that, not a whole lot going on. Let's see, we are nearing the end of week 6 of Turbo Fire and although my legs are still jiggly, their not as jiggly as when I first started. Week 1 they were a jiggly mess. Now their just a jiggly hot mess. HA, no but for reals, I see changes within myself. My waist is noticeably smaller, even Josh has commented over and over how my waist and in the love handle areas {oh my goodness, thank you Jesus!} has really shrunk.

Right now im pms-ing though and Ive just been craving greasy pizza from the local pizza joint but have I had any of said delicious pizza? Nope. I know it would be okay if I had just 1 slice and moved on, ya that wouldn't kill my hard work... but you see this pizza is addicting. It's easier for me to just not have any at all, to not have any in this house then it would be to only have 1 measly little slice and sit back and stare at the rest of the 7 slices in all their deliciousness. It's less torture for me.

We are currently planning a mid-July family BBQ. I am calling it a 'Luau' because I want to wear a coconut bra and a grass skirt and play hawaiian music while drinking a fruity colorful drink from a hurricane glass topped with a piece of pineapple and a colorful umbrella. Right now I am currently making invitations but because ive been without my Photoshops for so long {crapped out computer, remember?} it's like I am just having so much fun mixing colors and patterns and designs together and can't make up my mind on which designs I like. It's still fun though, none the less.

So tomorrow we are planning on going to the Gulfarium. They are re-opening today after renovating all winter. We shall see if we can get tickets tomorrow. Might possibly be crowded... Tomorrow night Josh is going to a friend/co-workers surprise BDay party so it'll just be J and I hanging out at home. I'm thinking movie night... Pizza would go perfectly but the sad reality is, is that I have the only kid on the planet that does not like pizza and well, we all already know where I stand on the Pizza issue. Boooo....

Sunday will be a trip to the Flea market and then Monday probly just hanging out at home by the pool.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend everyone! :)

I hate cookie dough, Shop updates and Fav. things

That's probly a long senseless title but it pretty much sums up this whole post.

First thing... I made some edible cookie dough on Friday night for me and Josh to 'snack' on while watching a movie. Ya... ha... never ever again. I want to remind you *edible* meaning it had NO eggs in it, yet around 10PM I started feeling nauseous. Kind of like the nauseous you feel when you have a hang over... or better yet, if you've never had a hang over, the kind of nauseous you feel when you are pregnant. Ya know, when it comes in waves? Ya, sucks. Without going into details I was up every hour, on the hour Friday night/Saturday morning and then spent more then half the day yesterday in bed. Nausea was gone but I had a splitting headache.

Just thinking about that edible cookie dough makes me want to vomit. Never again will I eat cookie dough. Yuck.

Okay, moving on. Before I got a case of the sickness I managed to get some stuff done with the shop. Some new items were added and I added two new *customizable* print items.

Enjoy this Day // Love Happy Smile Laugh Life.

These are my customizable state prints. Each print comes with your background color choice {from the color palette on the right}.

Each print also comes with the state's motto.

If your wondering why I have Hawaii, Mississippi and Washington added in there, is because Josh is from Mississippi, we've always wanted to go to Hawaii and I have family that live in Washington, so those are the state's I created for my 'examples' :0)

And last but not least are my customizable State love art. Little fun fact, for the photo shown, I am from Massachusetts and Josh, as you read previously, is from Mississippi :0)

Each print comes with your color choice for the background and hearts from the color palette on the right.

And right now, with Summer right around the corner {we have mid 70-80 degree temps right now so we hardly get a 'Spring'} is all things that remind me of Summer and what I want to do this Summer...

Lot's of beach time for us this Summer!

Buy some cute jewelry off Etsy.

Weekend mini-road trips... and yes, we are in search for a VW Bus! :0)

And enjoying more of this, right in our own backyard.

What are some of your fav. things lately? Excited for Summer just as much as I am??

Happy Sunday friends!

New in the Shop!

Today is wonderful indeed. Everyday is wonderful. It's what you make of it :)

Another reason today {and everyday} is wonderful, is because this home is filled with . Lots of

makes everyday that much more wonderful.

Living Simply and...

Fresh lemons are all perfect combinations for wonderful days.

Lemons remind me of Summer and fresh lemonade.

Okie Dokie?

Got it?

Ya hear?

So in case you haven't guessed, those are some of the newest additions in the shop. Listed them up on Sunday and was so excited to do so. I created them about 2 weeks ago, but with my blogging break, also came an etsy break... so they sat on my work table. Patiently waiting to be listed for all the world to see :0)

New in the Shop!

I think im going to deem everyday Sunday 'shop update day'. I notice a trend in the past couple weeks and it always seems like im doing some sort of 'sneak peek' or 'update' on the shop, on Sunday {totally not planned}. SO, yes...

Every Sunday is now officially SHOP UPDATE day. w00t!!

These were actually added last week. My fresh Pineapple print was inspired by my love for pineapple. It's just delicious. Isn't it delicious!? I think I could live on just pineapple alone.

'Catch a wave' was inspired by the many trips to the beach, or when we go to the pier and we look down on the waves crashing to shore and the bright sun beating down on the water, bringing out the different shades of blue within the ocean.

From top left, Summer bloom, Tropical morning bloom, Spring has sprung, and Modern flower buds.

These are all 5x7's with large 'white' border to create that effect of having a 'matte' in your frame.

I think it's no secret that im gearing up for spring/summer! Am I crazy? I don't know but I know im not crazy when I say we have tree's sprouting flowers and new blooms already. Inspiration at it's finest :0)

Lastly, I have added a new concept to the shop. Modern dahlias.

These are the first of a series of mix and match color sets. Each print is a 5x7 and you get to choose your own colors within the color chart I put together. Each set consists of 4 prints. Again, with a thick white border.

Lastly, if you follow me on Twitter, you will receive exclusive coupon codes and up to the min. shop updates and sneak peeks. {okay, maybe not up to the minute, but as they happen}.

So there is the newest additions to Little Brick House shop. I am currently working on another piece which was inspired by my little man :0) You'll have to wait till next Sunday to see what it is. Oooooh snap!

Have a fabtabulous week everyone!

Lets talk business - Etsy and whats to come

If any of you have visited my shop over the Summer or saw the few posts I made about the shop and items within the shop, then you would know that I have been making Camera strap covers and Lens Pouches. I also made a few other items as well {small zipper pouches and phone pouches} but I mention the Camera strap covers and the lens pouches because those two items seem to be the hot items of my shop.

Happily, I will be continuing to sell those items. However those items will now only be 'made to order'. I have been wanting to get back into digital prints again and painting and between a full time job and a family I have to schedule myself in to make/work on items and seeing as how I want to expand my shop to offer items I used to offer as well as new items, then I have to carefully plan out everything.

And that means to make the sewing items 'made to order'. It only makes sense. I love sewing, don't get me wrong, but with my busy schedule, that's all I would be doing and selling.... Camera strap covers and lens pouches. And like I said, I have been wanting to expand my shop. Broaden my horizons and really reach out to all aspects of creativity that I truly love without having to only stick with one specific thing.

 ...and more on the way!

Art has always been my passion, ever since I was a little kid. Now that 2012 is here, I really think now is the perfect time to start working on more Art/design projects.

 Sneak peek.... look familiar? :)

I am really excited to bring you all some new items full of color, fun and happiness. I am also very excited for 2012 and Little Brick House - Etsy. It's a new year, new items, new directions :0)

-Stick around and in about another week or two, the shop will be open again with newly listed, fun and fresh items!

Happy Wednesday!

I should be cleaning but

What fun would that be?

If it's one thing ive learned this past year it's to be myself. to be real. I have been pretty real but looking back on past posts I don't feel like ive been real enough.

Does that make sense?

Im throwing out all the stops and this next year is going to be more exciting. more fun and most importantly, more personable.

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

I hope your all having a great weekend... this is what ive been up to.

sewing sewing and lots more sewing.

Although I have to take a break because the house is seriously just a wreck right now and is needing some of my attention.

But between sewing and not cleaning we also headed to the indoor flea market. Its pretty insane in there. its like a maze. just room after room, every nook, cranny and space is filled with something. but since we have a 3yr old with us we can't always take the extra time to really look through everything because every 5secs. i find myself saying 'Don't touch, stop it, put that down, you need to listen to mama!'.

I did snag this little gem up. Having some sort of coffee tree {is that what its called? I really dont know} never really crossed my mind. ever. but when I saw this it was like I just had to have it.

For $7.50, couldnt go wrong. I envision myself drinking hot chocolate around Christmas time with these little vintage mugs. {watch, that will never happen haha}.

At another goodwill type of shop I bought Jayden a tin-lunchbox for $2.00 but I didnt have 2 bucks cash on me so I needed something else to justify using my check card. I found these little mirror wooden wall hanging things. They are a dark stained wood {which matches the rest of the wood in the dining room} and they have a little ledge, i guess to put a candle holder on or something. I don't know, ill figure it out.

And see. told you my house was messy.

Etsy Projects - Preview

So im back for a quick post to show you all what ive been working on! [hence my lack of posting this past week]. Oh and have I mentioned our roof was leaking? [excuse me while I bang my head against the wall....]. So this past week I have been working on some more items for my shop. Right now it's currently in 'vacation mode' so I can stock up on items and im hoping to 're-launch' by the end of the month/first week of August.

Two new Camera Lens pouches.

I have been going stupidly crazy on fabric lately. I'm obsessed with all the colors, patterns and prints [I spent way to much $$$ this weekend buying some new fabric online]!

Small electronic pouches with flap. These are perfect for your phone, MP3 player or any other small electronic device that's out there on the market. I made different sizes ranging from small to big enough for an iphone.

Fits perfectly.

{sorry camera phone pic} These are my favorite pouches because they are simple and easy access. They are my simple no-flap phone pouches. Your phone slides in and out very easily.

I am currently using one for myself right now. Now that I have a new phone and all, the last thing I want to do it scratch it, scuff it or 'ruin' it in any way. These little pouches are perfect for when you just need to throw your phone in your purse along with any other items while heading out the door but at the same time, keeping it safe from all those other things rattling around in there.

Another new camera lens pouch, this one is inspired for Autumn/Fall!

AND last but not least... some finished camera strap covers. The ones on the left are 3" wide with top-stitching on either side making it 2.5" in the middle portion. The ones on the right are 2.5" and have no top stitching.

I hope you enjoyed some of my preview of what I have been working on. More certainly to come!
