If there is one thing I love about our home it's the morning sunlight.
The way it rises up through the dogwood tree's and tall pines... If only I could be home more to be able to enjoy this magnificent moment.
To me it's borderline inspirational. Whenever I am home from work {for whatever reason}, J and I always make it a point to go hang outside for a bit in the morning. It's warm out, but not overbearingly hot yet.
Everything is content. The birds are in full swing, the morning dew glistens off all the grass and plants. The sunlight reflects through the leaves and tiny twigs throughout the tree's within our yard and fence line.
It's just so calm and relaxing. It's quiet. It's these moments where I just sit out there while J runs around playing. I close my eyes and just smell the fresh morning air and imagine all of the possibilities that await for this new day.
And if I had to say so myself... I think my boy loves being outside on these calm, relaxing mornings just as much as I do :)

Veggies, Creepers and Blue Birds
I am so excited that tomorrow is Friday as im sure you are just as excited as I am. I am hoping this weekend we can start tackling the master bathroom again. It's been sitting as an empty shell for far to long and now that I have a wild hair up my butt to finally start working on it again, well, we mine as well finish with the demo.
So I am currently in the process of transferring my domain {little-brick-house.com} over to Bluehost. So yes, expect to see a new design layout in the future because I will have a wordpress theme vs a Blogger template. I am so impatient though. My domain was unlocked by Google but now I have to wait for up to 7 days for the transfer to be completed {ugh}, in the mean time ive been working on some new graphics and just playing around with colors for the new blog. My inner graphic designer has also been reading up on wordpress and CSS until my head hurts. Needless to say I am still confused but you better believe I have a ton of tutorials bookmarked! {I try to stay prepared you know}.
Our tomatoes are growing like weeds. For reals. Im so happy too because I love tomatoes. I can easily slice up a tomato and just eat it like you would after slicing up an apple. We have 5 better boys and 3 plums growing. So excited for them to start ripening!
After some research, I discovered that this is Virginia Creeper. Who knew? I sure didn't. It's all over the yard!
I love seeing what new grows in the yard each Summer. Ever since we moved in 3yrs ago it seems like each Summer something new pops up. Our yard as a whole is truly one of my fav. places to be in the Summer. Running around, playing with J and Lola and just relaxing. It's so nice!
The little birdhouse that J made {with daddys help of course} has a new owner. Two little Blue birds have claimed this little house that is currently on one of our large oak tree's in the backyard. We have enjoyed watching them through the living room window, seeing what their up to. Im wondering if there are any eggs in there yet, I guess we will know soon when we hear little chirps coming from in there :)
Can you believe today is the last day of May and it's now June!? I seriously cannot believe how fast time is flying. here's to a slower Summer! Happy June!

Weekend Phone Recap
She still won't jump in the pool.
My little Picaso :)
Our weekly trip to Lowes!
And [what seems like] our daily trip to the Yogurt place!
You might have remember reading other posts where I mentioned our roof was leaking? We had the roofers come out and this was the damage. They said the roof was pretty bad and the wood was all wet and starting to become moldy! Luckily they fixed it up and our rood is all better now.
DATE NIGHT!!!! [sweeeeeet].
It's safe to say he loves his gold fishes :)

Over it!
Can I let you all in on a little secret? Pinky swear you won't give away my my little secret?
....I love Fall.
I know, not really a secret. Seeing as how the entire country seems to be baking in a pre-heated oven right about now, im more then sure you can all attest to the fact that we are looking forward to Fall. If you aren't looking forward to Fall well, then... your just weird.
Kidding!
No I don't think my readers are weird. I think y'all are lovely! Anyways I have always loved Fall. I just love how everything just seems so crisp. The smells, the food, heck even my hair. Which is a far cry from the ravaged frizz ball it becomes in the Summer [seriously, it's like a rabid animal, that's how bad it gets].
Autumn is a special time of year around our neck of the woods. Both Josh and I celebrate a birthday in Fall. Well technically I do, Josh does not [his is Sept 14, so we can still count that as a Fall Bday right?]. We live in Northern Florida and although in the Summer we get some crazy-arm-pit-sweaty hotness around here just like the rest of Florida, in the Fall/Winter we do cool down. A lot more then what a lot of people think. The humidity goes away in Mid September and the air becomes breathable again. The nights start to drop in temp. The sun sets earlier and earlier. Our leaves even change. Granted they don't get no where near as colorful as the North, but the tree's in our yard will turn red, deep brown or yellow. Some tree's however do not shed their leaves, but none the less we do get a Fall and this Massachusetts girl is so totally grateful for that.
Now let's take a peak into my Pinterest. The inspirational ideas for this year are brewing and I got my game face on. Bring it Fall!
Oh geez, im so ready. I'm pumped I tell ya. I'm over the heat and the humidity. My flowers are on the brink of death by wilt, the tree's are crinkling from the heat and we can't be outside more then 10mins. without it being to hot to actually enjoy what we are doing. And frankly. If I may.
I'm tired of going out to my car every morning before work and having beads of sweat gracing the top of my forehead just from the 20ft walk from the door to the seat of my car. Getting Jayden in and out? Ya, full on pit stain right there.
So while I head back to the store to buy my 16th deodorant stick within a month, how about you? Are you ready for Fall? Or do you just love the heat and everything that comes with it? [or are you just lucky and sweat fairy dust or something?].

Weekend Phone Recap
With my new phone comes a new camera and I am obsessed. I am obsessed with camera apps. and using the different styles so easily and effortlessly.
A little bowling.
Our small Southern town.
By far the best Pizza place in town.
Small and quaint.
Ending the weekend with a dip in the Pool. But after awhile it was even to hot out to do that, if that makes any sense... Happy Monday everyone and Hello to a new week!

A day at the Zoo
This weekend after having Breakfast on Saturday morning, we decided to head on out to the Zoo. I'm a total sucker for animals and Zoo's just make my heart melt. Partly because I hate to see these beautiful animals caged up or behind some slabs of glass and the other part because, well... hello. Their totally, super-awesomely, adorable. They make my heart melt like butter and my legs wobbly like a bowl of jelly on a hot day. -Don't even get me started on those little otters that came running over to me and gave me the Puss n Boots eyes....
The first part of the Zoo are the farm animals. I always love this section because you can go right up to them, feed them and mush all over them. Okay, maybe I just mush all over them, but in any case, this is the section where it can be done!
The Llama looked a little annoyed but luckily he didn't spit. Although this photo could prove otherwise.
This is the 'I want to take this little thing home and snuggle with it all day' animal.
All in all it was a super fun day. Jayden loved it. He loved all the animals, just as much as me. Besides the blistering heat [seriously, I probly stunk like an animal when we left] it was a fantastic day for another fantastic Summer weekend!
