Can I let you all in on a little secret? Pinky swear you won't give away my my little secret?
....I love Fall.
I know, not really a secret. Seeing as how the entire country seems to be baking in a pre-heated oven right about now, im more then sure you can all attest to the fact that we are looking forward to Fall. If you aren't looking forward to Fall well, then... your just weird.
Kidding!
No I don't think my readers are weird. I think y'all are lovely! Anyways I have always loved Fall. I just love how everything just seems so crisp. The smells, the food, heck even my hair. Which is a far cry from the ravaged frizz ball it becomes in the Summer [seriously, it's like a rabid animal, that's how bad it gets].
Autumn is a special time of year around our neck of the woods. Both Josh and I celebrate a birthday in Fall. Well technically I do, Josh does not [his is Sept 14, so we can still count that as a Fall Bday right?]. We live in Northern Florida and although in the Summer we get some crazy-arm-pit-sweaty hotness around here just like the rest of Florida, in the Fall/Winter we do cool down. A lot more then what a lot of people think. The humidity goes away in Mid September and the air becomes breathable again. The nights start to drop in temp. The sun sets earlier and earlier. Our leaves even change. Granted they don't get no where near as colorful as the North, but the tree's in our yard will turn red, deep brown or yellow. Some tree's however do not shed their leaves, but none the less we do get a Fall and this Massachusetts girl is so totally grateful for that.
Now let's take a peak into my Pinterest. The inspirational ideas for this year are brewing and I got my game face on. Bring it Fall!
Oh geez, im so ready. I'm pumped I tell ya. I'm over the heat and the humidity. My flowers are on the brink of death by wilt, the tree's are crinkling from the heat and we can't be outside more then 10mins. without it being to hot to actually enjoy what we are doing. And frankly. If I may.
I'm tired of going out to my car every morning before work and having beads of sweat gracing the top of my forehead just from the 20ft walk from the door to the seat of my car. Getting Jayden in and out? Ya, full on pit stain right there.
So while I head back to the store to buy my 16th deodorant stick within a month, how about you? Are you ready for Fall? Or do you just love the heat and everything that comes with it? [or are you just lucky and sweat fairy dust or something?].

oh i am So with you on that... ready for fall! summer always feels too hot and too long to me!
ReplyDeleteglee! i love this post! there hasn't been much humidity these last few days in PA, and we've had some rain finally so it looks a little dark...but i'm loving it! it's so fall like! i'm pinning and pining for fall like mad. i'm always ready.
ReplyDeleteI was just telling my husband yesterday, while I was sweating from the 90 degrees temps with 90% humidity, "I can't wait for Fall"
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you. Not to get TMI, but about the sweating...I finally went to the dr because even on milder 80 degree days, I was pittin it up over my lunch break, it was gross...she prescribed me Hypercare and it works so awesome my pits are completely DRY! Of course, my neck, back and 'other areas' still sweat, but that's not noticable so I don't mind as much. Maybe want to check it out while you wait for cooler weather? :)
