Duck, Duck, Goose

Yesterday Josh and I had the day off for Columbus Day [W00t}, and with the weekend festivities winding down and the closet turned Pantry officially complete, we decided to head to the park.

On Friday I had cleaned out one of the our botton cupboards', with doing so I had about 4 loafs of bread that were waaaaay past their prime. Oddly enough none of them had ANY mold what so ever [weird].

So with a bag of bread in tow, we loaded Jayden up in the truck and headed to the Park to feed all the ducks.

The park is fairly big. It's right by the train tracks which gives it a very hometown 'Southern' feel. Everytime the train goes by, Jayden just stares in amazement and than when the train is gone, he says 'Bye Bye Train'.

I just melt.

Jayden loved staring at the Ducks and watching them catch the bread he was throwing....

Although he was prefering to throw the ducks WHOLE peices of bread... As you can see the duck off to the right staring at the large peice of bread wondering what the heck that's all about.

Does anyone know what kinds of ducks these are? I have never seen any like this before. With all those wart looking things on their head. One duck even looked like it had a Mo-hawk.

Still persistant on giving them whole peices of bread. There was an old man with his wife at the picnic table just cracklin over the fact Jayden refused to throw the ducks the broken peices that Josh was giving him. I know what it is, he see's me make sandwiches and so maybe he was giving the ducks whole peices to make a sandwich perhaps?

After the bread was gone we walked around the lake. This park also has a football field. The train tracks are located to the right, behind the fields.

While we were walking there was someone in one of the buildings associated with the field, who kept playing the National Anthem over and over. Not sure why...

By this point Jayden was getting impatient with my random photo taking. He wouldn't even smile for the camera anymore. So we decided to head back to the truck.

But not before taking one last photo. A pretty little Heart Leaf! It was perfect and undisturbed. It was a sign that Fall is a special time of year filled with family and friends.

...And trips to the park to feed ducks whole slices of bread :)
